The Hardcourt Asssociation is conducting the following hitting squads in 2013 with coaches John Thompson, James O'Brien and Adam Lee (boys) and Janine Thompson (Tremelling), Nikita Sayle and Bree Calderwood (girls).

1. Boys 21 and under with John Thompson...assisted by James O’Brien.....This is Hardcourt’s elite boy’s squad (participants must have reached a certain standard either reflected by their ranking or by their ability). Rankings are only ever taken as a guide. This squad meets on a Tuesday night at Parramatta from 6 to 8.30pm.

2. Girls 21 and under with Janine Tremelling assisted by Bree Calderwood and Nikita Sayle. This squad contains the Elite girls (with standard requirements as in (1) above) as well as participants with a range of playing and ranking standards. It meets on a Tuesday night from 5pm to 7.30pm also at Parramatta.

3. Advanced Junior Boys – (usually 17 and under) with Adam Lee at Parramatta on a Wednesday night. This squad contains players who are the next step down from our Tuesday night squad at Parramatta. It meets from 6.30pm to 9pm.

4. Junior Boys – with Adam Lee (usually younger age 12 – 15 years) at Berala on a Tuesday night from 5.45pm to 8.15pm.

5. New 12 and under mixed squad under the overall control of Janine Tremelling. This squad meets at Parramatta from 5 to 7.30pm on a Tuesday night

The fee is $215 for a 9 week term. There is an expectation that squad members will participate in the Interdistrict Competition (which runs 6 weeks from 21 July).

The start dates for the competition are as follows:

Cormac represented the Southern Districts Association in the Presidents Cup.

JDS Round 3 results

Entries are now being invited for Associations to enter teams in the 2011 Slazenger Interdistrict Competition. Entries will be accepted up to Thursday 5 May.

The Interdistrict Competition is conducted for "Seniors", Open Mens and Womens divisions (Blackwell & Angus & Coote Cups) as well as junior events from 12 and under to 19 and under.

There will be two start dates this year. The "Seniors" events will kick off on Sunday 19 June with play continuining on June 26; July 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31; August 14, 21 and 28.

The Open and Junior events will play the first round on Sunday 24 July and will play the final round on August 28.

The Semi finals and Divisional Play-offs has been scheduled for Sunday 11 September with the finals on the following week (18 September).

The Annual Interdistrict Dinner will, this year, be held on Friday 16 September.

The Medibank Junior Development Series of Round Robin tournaments will be conducted in the Metropoliatn area in 2011 by the NSW Hardcourt Tennis Association and sponsored by Westpac.

The Metropolitan JDS is a series of three Round Robin Tournaments plus a Champions of Champions event.

The “winners” of the Champion of Champions event are invited to play in the State finals.

The first tournament in the series was abandoned due to rain, so now the tournament dates will be as follows:

The winner of the prestigious Rosewall Award was announced at the Interdistrict Dinner on 28 August.

The winner was Ian Malvern who represented Southern Districts in the Life Members Cup. In the absence of Ken Rosewall, the medal was presented by the Hardcourt President, Dennis Bindon.

Ian was also congratulated by tennis legend, Rex Hartwig, who was a special guest at the dinner.

The date for the 12 and under JDS Round Robin originally scheduled for Sunday 5 April has been changed to Sunday 19 April. The change has been necessary due to a scheduling error by Tennis NSW which resulted in a clash of the 12 and under teams event and the Metropolitan 12 and under JDS.

The change in dates will ensure best outcomes and participation for the 12 and under age group.

All other age groups will play as scheduled on 5 April.

The second round robin tournament in the Westpac Metropolitan JDS series will be played on Sunday 29 March and the third and final tournament will be played on Sunday 5 April.

Entries for the tournament on 29 March will be accepted up to Tuesday 24 March and entries for the final tournament on 5 April will close on Tuesday 31 March.

Metropolitan JDS Points Score after Round 1

The venues for the round robin to be played on the 22nd February 2009 are now available. A reminder that play starts at 08:30am and players should be at the courts 15 minutes before.
MJDS Venues - Sunday 22nd February

The JDS (Round Robin) Tournaments scheduled to be played on Sunday 15 February were postponed due to the weather conditions and will now be played next Sunday 22 February.

Players are advised to check the venues for next Sunday 22 February on the Hardcourt website (to be published by Thursday 19 February) as they may not be the same as 15 February. However, wherever possible we will be advising players by email of the venues.

Play will commence at 8.30am next Sunday.

In case of wet weather on Sunday 15th February for the MJDS Round Robin the following contacts are available AFTER 8am:
