Round 1 of the Medibank JDS is to played this coming Sunday 14th March. Event infomation is available below
Round 1 Venues - 14th March

The Metropolitan JDS is a series of three Round Robin Tournaments plus a Champions of Champions event.

The “winners” of the Champion of Champions event are invited to play in the State finals.

The first tournament in the series was abandoned due to rain, so now the tournament dates will be as follows:
1. JDS 1 – Sunday 14 March – entries close 7 March
2. JDS 2 – Sunday 28 March – entries close 23 March
3. JDS 3 – Sunday 18 April – entries close 13 April
4. Champion of Champions – Sunday 2 May (invitation)
Additional entries will now be received for the three tournaments in the series to be conducted in the following age groups:
• 10 and under boys and girls singles
• 12 and under boys and girls singles
• 14 and under boys and girls singles
• 16 and under boys and girls singles
• 21 and under boys and girls singles (C of C event does not apply)
Players must be under the respective age groups as at 1 November 2010.

There is no need for players who have already entered the series to submit another entry.Entries for the series will now close on Sunday 7 March.

The series consists of three Round Robin tournaments and a Champion of Champions event.

2009 Interdistrict Winners

The winner of the prestigious Rosewall Award was announced at the Interdistrict Dinner on 28 August.

The winner was Ian Malvern who represented Southern Districts in the Life Members Cup. In the absence of Ken Rosewall, the medal was presented by the Hardcourt President, Dennis Bindon.

Ian was also congratulated by tennis legend, Rex Hartwig, who was a special guest at the dinner.

MJDS Venues - Sunday 29th March

The date for the 12 and under JDS Round Robin originally scheduled for Sunday 5 April has been changed to Sunday 19 April. The change has been necessary due to a scheduling error by Tennis NSW which resulted in a clash of the 12 and under teams event and the Metropolitan 12 and under JDS.

The change in dates will ensure best outcomes and participation for the 12 and under age group.

All other age groups will play as scheduled on 5 April.

The second round robin tournament in the Westpac Metropolitan JDS series will be played on Sunday 29 March and the third and final tournament will be played on Sunday 5 April.

Entries for the tournament on 29 March will be accepted up to Tuesday 24 March and entries for the final tournament on 5 April will close on Tuesday 31 March.

Entry forms can be downloaded from this site and the completed entry forms and entry fees should be forwarded to NSW Hardcourt Tennis Assocaition, P O Box 597, Castle 1765 by the closing date/s.

MJDS Venues - Sunday 22nd February

The JDS (Round Robin) Tournaments scheduled to be played on Sunday 15 February were postponed due to the weather conditions and will now be played next Sunday 22 February.

Players are advised to check the venues for next Sunday 22 February on the Hardcourt website (to be published by Thursday 19 February) as they may not be the same as 15 February. However, wherever possible we will be advising players by email of the venues.

Play will commence at 8.30am next Sunday.
